Preventing Children and Youth in Foster Care From Becoming Victims of Human Trafficking

Through Placement and Education

  • Child Welfare Shelters

A shelter is a foster care placement where a group of foster children and teenagers reside, supervised by limited staff members. Children and teens living in shelters are at a higher risk for human trafficking.

  • Made to Thrive Ministry Exists to Eliminate the Need for Child Welfare Shelters.

We bridge the gap between foster care and adoption agencies and potential families. We strive to get children and youth out of shelters and into healthy, safe, and loving families, so they are at a lower risk of being trafficked.

  • Made to Thrive Academy Ensures that Current and Former Foster Youth Graduate High School.

We address gaps in foster child and youth education by providing one-on-one education with individualized academic plans through Made to Thrive Academy. We aim to prevent youth from aging out of foster care without a high school diploma, to reduce the risk of them becoming victims of human trafficking.
